Psalm 82

God standeth in the congregation of the mighty;

He judgeth among the gods.

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Theres a time and place the Lord takes everyone; all His children through different circumstances.

Growth in life in Christ is a beautiful thing and it only comes with how open we are willing to be, not by the amount of head knowledge, or doctrinal teaching we have learned. It‘s all about being open and one with the Lord in spirit.

Feeding, eating, drinking, and enjoying the Lord.

So often there are questions that we have, we want the answers, we search for the answers….

But how often do we search in the right places?

Our Heavenly Father wants to teach us all things (1 John 2:27) yet for some reason it seems so difficult to go to Him for the answer.

In a world that is so fast paced, technology moving faster than ever in history, things being built, advancing, moving….rapidly.

Do we know what it means to wait upon the Lord?

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10)

The Lord has a mighty plan, a will, a desire and how wonderful it is to be part of it!

To know that His ways are so much higher than our ways his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9)

I am starting to see more and more how often I get in the way of His plans.

How often am I trying to help someone that I see thats broken, needy, hurting, yet not turning to my spirit to see if it‘s really God‘s will.

How long will I judge unjustly? How long will I defend the fatherless the poor the widow, try with all my own strength to fix the broken.

How often am I getting caught up once again eating off of the tree of knowledge of good and evil?

Trying to do good to help someone yet that good isn‘t God‘s will.

Through a few nice words that person might say, through the biblical knowledge he has, through hearing his story,

I now think I understand his whole life.

I am willing and bold enough to say to his own family that I understand him better than you do.

Yet I don‘t take the time to sincerely ask God. “Father may I see what you are doing here with this child of yours that you love so much?“

My emotions kick in, and in a split second I am fed lies from the enemy saying how I can help this person. I can feed him, I can give him a place to stay, I can keep him away from the drugs.

Yet not once have I turned to my spirit for guidance.

I don‘t have time to wait or be still.

I am caught up in a quick fix, I am caught up in the world that gets everything done the exact moment they want it.

I want quick deliverance, I want all the demons out now.

But I can‘t see past my soul, I can‘t see really what God is trying to do with this person.

Yet now once again I have gotten in the way of His plan. I am feeding psychology to them telling them how great a person they are, how much they really can do it, how far they can push themselves.

Its become me..me…me…you..you…you.

And God patiently sits back and waits, lovingly as a good Father would, He allows us to learn from our mistakes, He never steps in, He lets it be sheltered, He lets Judas expose himself.

The dirt gets once again swept under the carpet, to once again be built up.

That individual once again has their next temporary fix and worst of all. They still haven‘t hit rock bottom.

We feel like we are on the top of the world about what we have done. They are relieved only until 1 week…. or 2 months…. or 3 years… once again the situation becomes exposed again.

They haven‘t learned what it means to turn to the Lord in desperate situations or any situations for that matter because they never needed to, a god-man or god-woman stepped in before they could get to that place of the end of themselves. Once again we have played the roll of God for Him.

Thinking we knew best, now God lovingly starts to bring that person back to the situation that He wishes everyone man to be.

Rock bottom, realizing daily I can‘t but You Amazing Wonderful Saviour…. Can.

Those 2 words are so beautiful to hear. I can‘t…I can‘t….I can‘t….. I would say the Lord just leaps for joy, He comes running towards you His arms open wide and just want‘s to grab you and say your wonderful and your right, but I can and I want to for you because I love you.

This is the place we need to learn to be, where we are utterly dependent upon the Lord for every move, every situation, every word, every breath we breathe.

This is the God-man living, that Christ want‘s every man and woman to live. It‘s a life that says it is no longer I but Christ who lives in me (Galatians 2:20)

“For I have not spoken from Myself; but the Father who sent Me, He Himself has given Me commandment, what to say and what to speak.” (John 12:49)

Lord may our hearts be open, may You our Father teach us day by day, little by little to change our thoughts, and turn to our spirit just 1 minute more each day. So we may become more like You, to express You in all Your divine attributes. Lord Jesus You are the divine One keep growing in us, maturing in us so that one day we may become Your spotless and wrinkle free bride!
